CITY STREET FOOD
So you’re on a tight budget and don’t want to eat in a restaurant every day. NO PROBLEM. In NYC you have a wide variety and great slection of some of the best street food any where in the world. The vendors are so reaonably priced. There are carts that serve hotdogs, shishkabob, falafel, full meals, icecream, fruit shakes etc.. In the morning you will find little mobile kiosks serving breakfast curb side coffee, muffins, croissants to egss on a roll. And it will only cost you from .035 cents for a #banana to $3.00 for coffee and sandwich. My favorite is the roasted nuts (great snack). Don’t be afraid to eat from the vendors. These carts are monitored by the city and are safe to eat from. Make sure you don’t get ripped off price wise. The prices for each cart are supposed to be displayed clearly. Also depending on where the cart is located in the city will depend if a hot dog is $2.00 or $3.00. Some spots in the city are more expensive but not by much.
NYC also has a huge variety of food trucks from Belgian Waffles to Fajitas. This can be a focus of a few New York tours. With all this huge variety of ethnic food being served around the city in the street hungry I guarantee you will not be.
Oh and don’t forget to check out some of the summers best street fairs where food is an essential part of the fairs.
Hearty Appetite!!!!!!
